Arsenal Vs Liverpool Review
Petr Cech was in magnificent form as he saved miraculously from Christian Benteke and turned Philippe Coutinho's shot on to a post thus helping to garner one of the 15 points John Terry predicted he would save the gunners.
A thrilling game with chances, disallowed goals and shots against the woodwork saw Liverpool continue their unbeaten start to the season, joining Manchester City on 3 clean sheets despite playing without their captain.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger:
"We scored a regular goal that was disallowed, I don't believe I can do something about it. At the end of the day, the referee cancelled out a regular goal. Like it or don't like it, it is a fact."
Liverpool Manager  Brendan Rodgers:
"I thought we were very good...Second half, we were always a threat going forward. The players worked ever so hard."
With this result, Lawro, who predicted a one-all stalemate covers more lost ground on The Pundit who thought Arsenal would win 2-nil. The updated standings on the predictor league would be brought to you in a subsequent post. Follow this link to see Week 2 results http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/predictor

Arsenal vs Liverpool build up

Arsenal aim to set up a winning run against a modest Liverpool side who have managed to get maximum points from their first two games of the season.
TEAM NEWS
The BBC are reporting that Flamini and Welbeck are both out for the gunners while Emre Can is set for the Kop midfield who have captain Henderson's foot problem to worry about. Arsene Wenger believes the result will not decide his team's title chances but admits the importance of the match. Quoting him, "your confidence is linked with your last result, we responded well (at Crystal Palace).... we should have enough confidence to go....against Liverpool.
PUNDITS CORNER
Arsenal have lost only one of their last 15 league home matches against Liverpool, winning 8.
Lawro (BBC's Mark Lawrenson) believes Liverpool are harder to play against this season and feels that is the way to play at the Emirates.
Ars 1:1 Liv
I dare to differ from Lawro. I do not see arsenal losing their opening two home matches of a season ( not happened since 1949/50 season) and if Ozil continues his good form (he misplaced only one of 55 passes vs Palace last time out) then maybe Giroud would score in his 100th EPL appearance.
Ars 2:0 Liv
I currently lead Lawro 160:60 points this after two rounds of matches but behind him on week 3.
